Eggshell

General application

Stir thoroughly before use. Apply 2 coats of COAT paint by brush or roller or application. If light or bright colours are to be used an additional coat may be required. Tones of separate batches may vary slightly, for colour consistency purchase sufficient paint for the complete job at one time. Preparation of the surface to be painted is vital to the performance of your COAT paint. ● Make good any structural cracks or defects and match the finish to the existing substrate. Use flexible fillers only. ● Wash down and remove old flaking or defective coating. ● A glossy painted surface must be sanded to a matt finish prior to applying the first coat of paint. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask when dry sanding. ● Bare metal requires a suitable primer. ● COAT paints are self-priming, however if a heavily repaired substrate has a wide variation of porosity and colours, priming is recommended as a first coat to create an even base colour. ● For interior use, prime new, bare and porous surfaces using one coat of the appropriate COAT paint, thinned with water (1 part water, 9 parts paint). For best results, try to keep a wet edge and complete one wall at a time.
