Terms of Service
These terms cover accounts on allpaintcolours.co.uk, the All Paint Colours MCP connector and REST API (together “the Service”), and the Home and Pro plans. Reading the website needs no account and no agreement beyond the disclaimer in the footer. They are written to be read; if anything is unclear, email [email protected].
1. Who you’re dealing with
The Service is provided by Sulis Minerva LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in England & Wales, VAT number 471 5544 84 (“we”, “us”).
2. Your account
- You need an account to use the connector or the API. Creating one is free.
- Give us a working email address and keep your password, passkeys and API keys to yourself. Anything done with them counts as done by you.
- One account per person. You must be 18 or over to buy a plan.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, attacks the service, or tries to work around the plan allowances. We’ll tell you why.
- You can delete your account yourself at any time from the account page.
3. Plans, prices and payment
- The plans and what each includes are set out on the pricing page, which forms part of these terms. Plan allowances (calls per month, saved palettes) are stated there and enforced automatically.
- All prices include UK VAT. Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, by card through Stripe. Receipts are sent by email.
- We may change prices or allowances with at least 30 days’ notice by email; a change applies from your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
- Promotion codes apply on the terms stated when they are issued and can be withdrawn for new customers at any time.
4. Cancelling and refunds
- You can cancel at any time from your account page. A monthly plan continues to the end of the month you have paid for and is not charged again. A yearly plan continues to the end of the year you have paid for.
- Changed your mind? If you cancel within 14 days of your first payment, email us and we will refund that payment in full. Otherwise we don’t refund partial periods, except where the law requires it.
- Downgrading works the same way: the higher plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for.
- If we ever discontinue paid plans, we will refund the unused part of any period you have paid for.
5. What you can do with the data
- Free and Home are for personal use and internal use within your own household, studio or business.
- Pro also allows you to display results from the API or connector inside your own products and services for your customers. Attribution (“colour data from allpaintcolours.co.uk”) is appreciated but not required.
- On every plan: don’t redistribute, republish, resell or otherwise make the dataset (or a substantial part of it) available as a dataset; don’t use automated means to rebuild it; don’t share API keys or accounts to work around allowances. Bulk export on Pro is for your own use under the same rule.
- The website itself may be read and linked to freely.
6. What the data is, and isn’t
- Colour names, codes, hex values, prices, coverage figures and finish specifications are gathered from manufacturers’ own public websites and data sheets and provided as they are.
- Hex values are sRGB approximations of physical paint; screens vary and paint varies. Prices are indicative and change. Coverage figures are the manufacturers’ own. Colour matches are calculated (CIEDE2000) similarities between those approximations, not guarantees that two paints look the same on a wall.
- Always buy a sample pot before committing. Nothing in the Service is professional advice.
- All Paint Colours is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any paint manufacturer. Brand and colour names are used only to identify the products they refer to and remain their owners’ trademarks.
- Market data (trends, rankings, range and price changes) reflects interest measured on this site and changes observed between our data collections. It is directional, not sales data.
7. Availability and changes
- This is a small service run on modest infrastructure. We work to keep it available and accurate but do not promise uninterrupted service or a service level.
- We may add, change or remove features and tools. We’ll give notice of changes that reduce what a paid plan includes, and section 4 applies if we discontinue paid plans.
- Your AI tool’s own plan and rules govern whether and how it can add the connector; we can’t control that.
8. Liability
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
- Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on the data (including paint bought on the strength of a match), for loss of profit or business, or for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you in any year is limited to the amount you paid us in that year.
9. Privacy
How we handle personal data is set out in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. We will email account holders about material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated terms; if you don’t, cancel and, where section 4 applies, we’ll refund you.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to its courts. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you keep the protection of mandatory consumer law where you live and may bring a claim there.
