About AllPaintColours

Over the course of a five-year renovation of a Georgian house in Cumbria, we found ourselves endlessly comparing paint colours across manufacturers. Trying to work out whether a Farrow & Ball shade we loved had an equivalent from Little Greene, or whether the Dulux colour already on the kitchen walls had a match in a heritage range we wanted for the sitting room. Every time, we ended up squinting at browser tabs, holding paint cards up to the screen, and guessing.

So we built this. allpaintcolours.co.uk is a single, searchable database of every paint colour from every major UK manufacturer, with cross-brand colour matching computed using CIEDE2000 — the same perceptual distance formula used by the paint industry to measure how similar two colours look to the human eye. It’s not perfect (no screen can truly represent a physical paint colour) but it might get you from 3,000 options down to 3, which is usually enough to know which sample pots to order.

All colour data is collected directly from manufacturers’ own websites. Prices are indicative and may vary by retailer and finish. We are not affiliated with any paint manufacturer and AllPaintColours is intended for informational purposes only. Nothing on this website should be construed as an endorsement or recommendation of any particular product or manufacturer.
